Can you earn money while playing League of Legends? (without creating content)

First of all, let me make this clear, there is no magic way to make a shitload of money just by playing arams and being silver V. The best way to earn money is definitely to be good at the game, and use that to create a stream or a youtube channel, even better, do both.

Yet, I know a few tricks that allowed me to get up to around 6-7k RP over the course of a year, without even trying extremely hard.

Daily ladders

Here's how you can do it. There are a few websites that exist, (i'll list them below), and those websites allow you to take part in daily ladders, who will allow you to win up to 1 or 3 dollars a day if you place high enough (the strategy here is to use a smurf to increase your KDA artificially).

Challengermode.com does this pretty well, it takes into account your KDA, your farm, and whether or no you won the game and attributes you points

This ladder is a pretty cool feature, you are free to take part every day, and the entry is free, so you've got nothing to lose. It is pretty far from a steady income, but it's cool to make money because you played well right?

Amateur tournaments

That's actually what I did, with a few of my pseudo-high elo friends (we were mostly diamond V to diamond III). We picked tournaments where the teams registered weren't too many, and didn't seem to good, and tried to get to the finals. You usually get around 1k+ rp if you manage to get past the semi-finals. Sometimes you can do that by playing less than 3 games, which is actually pretty good, compared to the daily ladder, yet you need to play well and this requires some tryhard.

We actually once faced Freeze, a pro Turkish player.

To be fair, those 2 solutions I propose here aren't that great overall, the best way to earn money being creating original content on a game you like, and being consistent with it, if you like what you're doing and stick to it, you might blow up, and learn some pretty useful skills.

All websites doing this are pretty much equal, but here are a few I can advise you to use, the main difference between those are the UI and some features, they are all mostly the same. Just pick one and stick to it, since there are some rewards on each of those sites

If you are a student, look for student organisations doing tournaments, the competition is usually not extremely fierce, and sponsors often warrant pretty good cashprizes.
